About the Opportunity
As a result of continued national growth, Surex Surveyors is seeking multiple full-time Surveyors to join its team, supporting major infrastructure and tunnelling projects across Australia. While candidates can be based anywhere nationally, current project locations include Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, with relocation support available where required. Additional opportunities may arise in other capital cities as new projects commence.
The successful candidates will be responsible for providing high-precision surveying services to support tunnel construction and civil infrastructure delivery. These positions offer a challenging and rewarding environment, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, safety, and professional standards.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting field surveys, including civil and structural set-out in tunnel environments
- Preparing and reviewing survey calculations, maps, plans, and technical documentation
- Performing data reductions and producing accurate reporting for project stakeholders
- Operating Leica and other high-end surveying equipment in compliance with procedures
- Liaising with project managers, engineers, and construction team's on-site requirements
- Complying with workplace safety protocols, including respirator fit testing and site readiness assessments
- Supporting continuous improvement through adherence to standard operating procedures

About You
We’re open to candidates with diverse levels of experience from those starting their careers in surveying to those with extensive years of field experience. If you’re willing to work hard, grow your skills, and align with our culture, we want to hear from you.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A tertiary qualification in Surveying or Engineering Surveying
- A valid Driver’s Licence and Construction White Card
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Willingness to relocate for project opportunities (relocation support available)
- Readiness to work with rotating rosters or underground environments
- Strong attention to detail and field accuracy
- A commitment to safety, punctuality, and teamwork
Highly Regarded (Not Essential):
- Experience with Leica, AutoCAD, 12D Model/Field, Terramodel or similar
- Basic Microsoft Office proficiency
- Previous exposure to tunnelling, rail, or civil infrastructure projects

Earn a competitive remuneration package of between $120,000 to $140,000 (commensurate with your qualifications and experience), PLUS Super along with a host of benefits including:
